HERE’S WHY I LOVED 2020: REFLECTIONS

by Lynn Otieno

It begins with a hot cup of black coffee. Black as the skins of them beautiful south Sudanese women with graceful long legs. Then it hits you that it’s a new year. The concept of time is abstract, but we were born into it and we gotta live with it. The truth is, it’s just another day, but there’s something extremely refreshing about the concept of novelty, a new beginning.
The past year was so damn weird. It actually started great for me, then corona happened and all hell broke loose. It’s been a downward spiral since, but some great things happened as well. If I’m being completely honest with you, 2020 ended on a very high note for me. Wonderful things were happening, wonderful things that spilled over into 2021😁😁😁.
Moving on swiftly, I’m walking into the new year with nothing but hope. I have some great expectations and plans, but I’m leaving that tiny window for “What if”. I’m hoping for the best but also preparing for the worst. Guess we all learned this from 2020.
Nonetheless, I’m wishing you a very wonderful year full of blessings and good tidings.

I want to be more intentional with my actions this year.
Also, my thrifting game is getting better by the day, check this look out. I should actually do a post titled “A thousand things you can do with a denim jacket “. I love these culotte pants ❤
